NCAP - Recompete Pilot Program Webinar: Learn About This New Funding Opportunity to Help Support Long-Term Economic Development
Please join the Aspen CSG and ITS Reimagining Rural Assistance Network (RRAN) partners for a webinar about one of the exciting new programs established by the CHIPS and Science Act: The Recompete Pilot Program.
This new program aims to invest $200M in geographically diverse economically distressed communities, as measured by the prime-age employment gap (a measure of how many adults aged 25-54 are employed in a community compared to the national average of employment among prime-age adults).
The Recompete Pilot Program’s goal is to “alleviate persistent economic distress and support long-term comprehensive economic development and job creation in eligible areas.” The Notice of Funding Opportunity is expected later this month, so now is the time to learn and prepare.
During this webinar, you’ll hear from:
• Rural organizations about why the Recompete Pilot Program presents a significant opportunity for rural and tribal communities
• EDA officials describing Recompete eligibility and the grant opportunity
• Local rural leaders’ insights on how they’ve developed partnerships and strategies for similar federal funding opportunities
