NCAP - Community Action Conversation: Water Accessibility & Affordability
In June, the National Consumer Law Center (NCLC) partnered with the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) to release a comprehensive new Water Affordability Advocacy Toolkit, designed to help local groups advocate to legislators, policymakers, and utilities for more affordable drinking water and/or wastewater systems. The National Coalition for Legislation and Education on Affordable Water recently released a new documentary film -- Whose Water? The People's Movement for Safe, Affordable Water and Sanitation in the United States -- that tells the stories of community members organizing for access to safe and affordable water and sanitation. In this session, panelists will preview the film and the toolkit, share their experiences developing these materials, and discuss the future of water advocacy around the country.
